Initially, I found it challenging to align WWF’s mission with practical product ideas. However, by exploring nature-inspired concepts and utilizing symbolism such as footprints and seed tags, I created meaningful designs. This exercise has also helped me expand my way of thinking and brainstorming by using combinational creativity method and mindmaps. Other than that, I have also learnt more in depth about the NGO we selected by looking for correlating concepts that suites both our booth and the NGO. However, there were multiple problems I encountered in the making of this exercise. One of them being on how to think of a product that is while creative and innovative, is still possible to be eye-catching enough to sell, and can be realistically produced. I solved this issue by going through multiple type of products, ranging from food, decors, and even clothing items, until I finally settled on my current product.  Concept: Concept Product 1: Product 1: Coco Loco Product 2: Product 2: ReBloom Booth and logo: Reflection   Coming up with a concept was quite easy as The Jungle Book is an iconic book and movie that heavily relates to our NGO chosen. The hardest part for me was branching out the main ideas to make it more elaborate. As much as I am inspired by The Jungle Book, relating the storyline to fit WWF Malaysia’s views and goals while making sure it is coherent was difficult. To overcome this, I extensively researched about the book to pick out key moments and lessons, which I then adapted with a local twist to make the concept more relatable.   Next, I had to think about the two products that I wanted to sell. To relate it with the concept, I imagined the components in a jungle that could make good products to sell. The logo had to clearly reflect both the concept and the product, so I explored different platforms for ideas. “Lu Lu Honey Lemon Juice,” was inspired by combining “Lululemon” and a healthy drink to attract attention. Through the mind map, I learned how honey and lemon benefit our health. “Bing Bing Boom” is based on bingfen, a traditional Chinese jelly dessert. Bingfen is light, refreshing, and perfect as an after-meal treat, especially since it’s rarely seen at campus events. Researching bingfen showed me how this dessert has been preserved for centuries. Personal Reflection From the ideation project, I learned how to combine WWF’s environmental goals with the trendy, appealing world of Chiikawa. I brainstormed ways to raise awareness about endangered animals and nature preservation in a fun, accessible way, expressing all these ideas through mindmapping.
